    1. Thanks very much Tony. I find it interesting how choices in textures and geometric shapes suggest different types of media and create different associations for the viewers. 🙂

    1. Glad it took you on a journey. Your response is most apt. 🙂 When I completed this set, I realized that I had unconsciously took my inspiration from the comic-book artists, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko . ( I don’t know if it was a result of my making more use of the Sub-Mariner banner, but the colours and textures drifted that way .)

      Kirby’s sprawling cosmic vistas, such as he created in comics as Thor, Fantastic Four and The New Gods, are suggested in these pieces. Ditko’s off the wall other dimensions, that are associated with his work on Dr. Strange ( see Cumberbatch in that role, first trailer is out), also comes to play.

      Perhaps it just my Comic Geek DNA asserting itself. 😀
