Where There’s Smoke

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I’ve tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice.

    1. Yes, sometimes we need the voices of the great poets to remind us of things other than eternal beauty and love, especially in times such as these.

The Austrian voters narrowly rejected the proto-fascist candidate while the Italian voters listened to extremest right wing political party rand ejected reforms in the referendum vote. It is becoming a more uncomfortable world.

Don’t mind the you taking time to respond, all that matters is your health remaining good and you keep producing your great blog with fascinating posts. 🙂

      1. Thanks Joseph. Yes, I agree it is becoming a more uncomfortable world. I take comfort in the emerging trend of people regretting their vote for Brexit and for Trump. The blog Trumpgrets is by an anonymous Democrat who is using posts of voter regret from social media to soothe his wounded soul.

    1. Frost bite can be very nasty.
You could face an end like The Little Match Girl or something more dramatic and chilling. Our overnight forecast – Low minus 22. Wind chill minus 32 overnight. Blowing snow to end after midnight (perhaps).
