It creeped me out when I was a teen, watching it on late night Friday TV. 😀 The mix of David Lynch style minimalist dialogue (probably influenced him) and surreal silent film is haunting.

      1. My mom introduced me to it when I was like 6 or 7. It was a special movie for us throughout our lives. The cinematography is great. The scene where she is playing organ in the apse of the church is incredible. So much to comment about on this flick. The carousel scene, the opening and the closing minutes of the film, the silhouettes in the landscapes, etc
